Coco Party

When it comes to party themes I like those themes that aren't overdone or the "norm" (you know I like to be different๐Ÿ˜œ) Our son has never had a birthday party before and after all the parties I have been a part of he had been asking me when it was his turn to have one ๐Ÿ˜“ so this mama threw him a make it pretty special ๐Ÿ˜‰

I had a few theme ideas but one night after watching Coco I had endless ideas for a party so coco it was.

The first thing I do when it comes to styling is find a colour palette. I originally wanted to do an all white decor party because white is just classy as hell, but I thought adding touches of pastel would look ๐Ÿ‘Œ.

After finding my colour palette I went looking for a venue that would suit my vision. I was looking for a blank canvas I could transform, and I came across Little Ginger on Instagram @littlegingerco . Located in Williamstown, convenient location for us Melbourne Westies, Little ginger's all grey concrete area was the perfect backdrop for all our decor it made every colour pop.

One of the highlights of the party most definately was the 3.5m dessert grazing runner created by the crazy talented sisters from @thegrazingsisters_ who I found on instagram. These girls are hands down ๐Ÿ™Œ, Melbourne's finest grazing stylists.

Dress Code was All black attire (adults included)

We had Simone from @alwayseventive.kids for the entertainment. She was bloody brilliant, she customised everything to match our theme. She had face painters who painted sugar skulls on all the kids and adults, a colouring station with coco themed colouring pages, coco themed games and she even made herself a coco costume. The kids immediately calmed down the second she walked in the door, they gravitated towards her bubbly personality and were kept entertained throughout the whole thing, I cannot recommend Simone from @alwayseventive.kids enough! Having the kids entertained takes 99% of the stress out of any kids party, don't even hesitate just book her, you'll thank me later ๐Ÿ˜‰.

The dress code was all black atire except the birthday boy of course ๐Ÿ˜‰, I dressed him up as Miguel the main charactor off Coco, @alwayseventive.kids did his face paint that looked soooo good but lasted all of 5 seconds because he hated it and was so unhappy (can you tell ๐Ÿ˜‚ so we had to wash it off ๐Ÿ™„ (pain in my ass)

@amydsigns did our custom name wood cut which was amaze!

I am all about the personalised touches. Each child had a personalised cookie on their plates by @sugarrushbysteph, and a initialed mug to take home after. I wanted to add some more colour to table so decided to do "freakshakes". Each mug was dipped into melted white choc and then dipped into sprinkles to create that colourful ring, topped with a krispy kreme glazed donut and filled with strawberry milk (aint nobody got time to make shakes๐Ÿ˜œ).

I last minute decided to make decals for the kids chairs and so glad I did because they were the perfect finishing touch to the kids party table.

For the party favours, each child was given a tote bag with their initial on it, full of goodies with a personalised helium balloon with their name on it attached. Each bag contained games, toys, a personalised drink bottle with their name, milk bottle full of candy with "major turns 4" on it, each bag was different depending on, age and gender of the child.

@thegrazingsisters_ spoilt the adults with a1.5 meter grazing table. I sent them a picture I found of an all chocolate board and asked if they could do it and of course without hesitation they said sure and they slayed the hell out of the all chocolate board.

Another major highlight of the party was the hot food, @between_2_buns provided the kids with cheese burgers and fries and for us adults they provided their famous "double" burgers, chips and a range of their delicious shakes: ferrero rocher, mint slice, oreo, salted caramel, kit kat, mars bar ๐Ÿ˜ฑ. (gotta spoil the parents too ๐Ÿ˜‰)

Big thanks to all the talented vendors who helped us make this party as great as it was.

Major had the best time!
